Standard food @ food court.

Heyo people, I was dinning with my mom yesterday @ punggol plaza.

It's been ages since I have been there. There is a food court called KOUFU. So yup we had our dinner thr at a normal food court.
It seems like they have a new stall call hungry jack. It sells western food. I tried their grilled chicken cabonara. I must say for a food court the standard is there.

The cream is not too thick or creamy, just nice to my liking! MMMmmm! The grilled chicken has a strong taste of ginger marination. If you want to get rid of it just dip it in chilli sauce it taste even nicer! 

Never sick of there!

Remember the last time I told you guys that there is a place whereby you could sit till midnight and enjoy 50% of the snacks, coffee drinks,cakes and dessert while enjoying a heart-to-heart talk with your friends there?! Hmmmmm yeah I went back there recently as usual cause I am those who frequently hang out till the midnight and rushes off like some frantic girl to catch the last train of the day home =). In case you are still lost, I am talking about CAFE CARTEL @ PLAZA SINGAPURA!

Look I just realised they provide customers with a cute napkin. The design of a guy's tie. XD

This visit there I tried their blended coffee drinks! It is also 50% off so if I not wrong its about $3-4?!  

This one I tried is called raspberry coffee blend. Ok I actually forgot the real name hahas=)

We also had a try on its cake. This time we tried the strawberry cheesecake. It is slightly lighter than its new york and american cheesecake. So for those who cannot take heavy cheese smell but wanna try cheesecake why not try this =)......

OMG! It oozes out! Gosh!

Have you heard or ever ate that cake that when you cut it in half everything oozes out, or when you bite the liquid come bursting out? And when you eat it with ice cream or whip cream it taste like heaven! Dessert is always a girls best friend and not forgetting a buddy to some guys =). So here is a great dessert that you can pick up and the preparation time is like so short, not even mentioning the bake time is only like 10 minutes?

WHERE ARE YOU?!

Has it ever happen to you that a friend is always late? Okay i do have friends who are always late and that normally makes me kind of irritated! Serious! But what I am going to do today is not to complain about my friends. I am here to tell you what you can do so that we dun get wrinkles easily from being angry with friends like this. Firstly, to be fair I am late sometimes also but it is a bad habit due to bad influences. So I guess I have to learn not to be late also and am learning. But to benefit both parties in this situation, let's all learn what we can do.

Solution 1: If you have a friend who is chronically late, and you know that they always have this pattern of being late for an hour or more, there's two things we can do. You can either choose to inform this friend to meet at one hour before the actual time you guys will meet, in that case, if he is late for an hour, he will be on time (e.g. let's meet at 8 but you will actually meet at 8:45 or 9) OR just get out of the house late also, cause if so, you wouldn't have to be that person stomping your feet over a friend who is late and made you wait for an hour or so.

And I came across this link and I think it made sense of what the person was talking about. If you are later than your friend who is also late, then you can always tell your friend this: "You are also late, and if I were to reach at that time, I would have waited for you ALONE for the period you are late!" Make sense right?

But don't misinterpret what I am trying to tell you, that only applies to friends who are like late for 45 minutes and above because this kind of long waiting time are ridiculous. But if your friends are like 15 minutes late or so don't say that to them cause it doesn't make sense already! And most probably the reason for being late would have been understandable unlike those who are late for like 45 minutes and above?!

This person also mentioned about the mindset of these people who are late. It was said that these people are  angry and feel insulted by our tardiness when we are late. But they never realised that this is what we been through while waiting for them?! Do you feel that this sounds so familiar? Because it always happen! Those who makes me wait never wants to wait for me so that makes me more irritated sometimes.

They never know that they are actually angry at what they have done, angry on their own reflection! 

Solution 2 :  If solution 1 doesn't work this is another method I saw online that you can do. If you reach there on time, set a timer of 15 minutes on your phone and find a place to sit and relax but make sure you switch off your phone.

Then after 15 minutes, your friend still hasn't arrive, grace period for them is over. You switch on your mobile and leave the place. Then prepare to receive the call from your friend saying they have reached and couldn't find you and saying that you are LATE! Take a deep breath and tell them calmly what you did. Tell them you were there and have left because after 15 mins you thought they were not coming. And when they give the excuse that they tried to call or sms you, tell them you have switched off your mobile because you were too tired of the old excuses. 

This is a harsher method for those who really are ridiculously late. Because being late means they never show you respect and to continue any relationship be it friendship or anything else, mutual respect is important. So if the person is not willing to wait for you but willing to make you wait, then this person is not showing respect by saying I am more important than you. FOR THIS METHOD I ONLY RECOMMEND IT IF IT IS REALLY TO THE EXTENT OF INTOLERABLE.

Solution 3: For me, if you think that solution 2 is a bit too harsh for your friend then adopt this method then. This is my personal opinion with reference to some advices that I heard from some people. Since, you know that your friend is always late and despite you arriving late, they are still later than you, don't just sit there and wait then. By sitting there and wait, you are to blame and not the person who is late. By sitting there, time passes slower and you get easily irritated that your friend still hasn't arrived. Then what you should do then? Continue with whatever plan you guys have arranged, no one likes to be missed out. So maybe the next time they had learn to be punctual. But even if you are alone waiting, it doesn't mean you can't continue the plan alone. Go ahead and when the person arrive tell him/her you have already done that thing you guys have planned and you would like to move on to another thing that was being planned on the list.

Solution 4: One of which I find the rather useless solution but you still can give it a try cause different ways work on different people! Whenever someone is late, implement a policy for punishment. For example, whoever is late for more than 15 minutes or arrives the latest shall buy the group lunch? And really implement it and not just mention and maybe to save their pocket from burning that big hole they might start to turn up on time.

Last but not least: The most traditional method. And that is sitting down and addressing the problem to your friend. Tell her how you feel and work together and see whether that there is anything that can be done. 

HOPE THIS WILL HELP ALL OF YOU WHO ARE FACING THE SAME THING AS ME. LET'S TRY THE METHODS AND WAIT FOR IMPROVEMENT TO BE SEEN! 

Feel like PARADISE, cause I had a vacation tonight!

Met Jo for dinner that day, and actually i suggested a buffet at somerset which has an offer of 1-for-1 for UOB cardmembers but sadly Jo wanted to eat at Changi Airport and he said that there was a affordable Japanese restaurant. So read on and you will know why i FELT LIKE PARADISE!

Waiting for my dear friend Jo. Look at my face. One word SIANX. Hahas.

Finally he came! And we headed to terminal 2 in search for that affordable japanese restaurant he mentioned! Then in the end guess what the japanese restaurant he mentioned was WARAKU DE PASTA! zzzz I was like you made me come all the way here to eat waraku?!!! So after seeing me reluctant to eat there we decided to change the location. =) We actually wanted to settle at this restaurant next to fish n co on the left but the manager looked down on us and think we cannot pay or afford so I felt offended and we went to terminal 1 to search for a better restaurant!

So we made our way here to PARADISE! HAHAS! When we got there we went to look at the pricing and menu, the manager came out and made recommendations to us. The manager was real nice! I mean despite the two of us looking like we can't afford at least the manager treated us with respect unlike the one at the previous restaurant! Btw that restaurant is under the same group as this restaurant but sadly services differ so much!

Appetiser. Awww...the peanut was braised just nice not too salty nor sweet! And soft but not too soft, just nice!

1st dish: Their signature dish - Pig trotter vermicelli. YUM YUM. I was so in love with the sauce! DAMN NICE! The vermicelli is moist but not soggy! And the sauce has a little oil in it but not too much. And because of that it makes the vermicelli so smooth it just slides down your throat!

Our drinks! I had a berry ice tea. The drink was light and has a tingling taste of berries. BERRY SENSATION! Jo's was hot flower tea! I like the display of their drink!

OMG!!!! This is so SINFUL!!!! Dong Po Rou! Look at it ! Just look at it! Oh my! But this dish had an unexpected taste! You know normally this dish is like salty in nature but this dish the sauce is sweet-based. SPECIAL I MUST SAY! It is not very oily so you don't have to find it that at teh very end you find it too oily and too sick to it! This is MARVELOUS! Yum YUm YUM! MMMMMmmmmm!

NEXT UP : FRIED SEAFOOD NUGGETS WITH MAYO-WASABI SAUCE! Okay to be honest I HATE TOMATOES! But Jo said the tomato was so soft you can hardly taste it and insisted that i ate teh whole thing! AND HE WAS RIGHT! The tomato is so soft you hardly taste it and it brings a tingling taste of slight sourness! This dish is very good together with rice! The sauce make the whole mouthful with rice appetising! MMMMMMmmmmmm! This is my second favourite dish. First FAVOURITE: Vermicelli!!!!!

This is TOUFU DISH! MA PO TOUFU! Hmmmm not as impressive as those that we ate above! Just normal lor! So the other 3 are VERY HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!

LOOK AT THE SPREAD ON OUR TABLE! TEMPTING EH?!

DESSERT! MMMMMmmmm! Okay the one on the right is the mango sago pomelo thing! Okay normal I would rate you definitely can find nicer or more awesome ones outside! But what I would really recommend is the one on the LEFT!!!! It is something like ice jelly but the ice jelly is not just PLAIN ice jelly BUT it has the aftertaste of lemongrass that lingers at the back of your tongue when you bite the ice jelly which I REALLY LOVE LOVE LOVE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

You guys must be wondering what's with the big wooha on the card! As our bill per person was like already $37 +, so the manager, very nice manager came to promote on their paradise card that has a value of $45 in it but cost only $38. And we can use it with immediate effect! So we found that it was a great deal as there were other vouchers that came with the card and we can dine at their 6 other paradise group restaurant and earn loyalty points that we can rebate the next visit. So great deal, great offer, we SIGNED without much hesistant!

Eewww black roots!!!

Okay, I have not been dyeing my hair for I think 6mths app. and my black roots have come out =(. So I have decided to get those ugly black roots out of my hair. I dunno why I hate my hair in black so much just that I think the black hair maybe makes me look older I guess. That's why I can never stand my hair looking black for long after I graduated from my secondary school. I went to this store at Compass point to make my hair, the pricing was reasonable. I dyed and had treatment for $90. The treatment was comparable to well known salon they use the same equipment for the treatment. The treatment I did had a cooling effect on my scalp and the whole process was really comfortable. 

This is where the salon is located: 

It is located at lvl 1 Compass point, and near the mrt station. 

The one that I went to make my hair is this small unit at the $10 haircut shop okinawa. 

But if I am not wrong, this shop is an extension to Okinawa. Probably, under the same management. But for this unit it not only provide haircuts unlike the $10 haircut main okinawa salon, it provides services like dyeing of hair, perming and also hair rebonding at prices that I find reasonable. My personal opinion is that the quality of the hair dyeing was not bad given the reasonable pricing. 

This is how I look like after my hair was dyed. And I like how they actually blow dry my hair it looks nicer and straighter =) 

Okay let's do a comparison of BEFORE AND AFTER :

Look at the before! My fringe are typically black!!!!!! and the after my fringe has got colour! HAHAS i am so in love with my hair. Anyway if you are not interested in dyeing your hair you can always drop by there if you stay near to have treatment done for your hair, it is relatively cheap prices ranging from $38-58 if I didn't remember wrongly.

Society GONE WRONG!

SERIOUSLY, I AM GOING TO ENTITLE A WHOLE POST TO THIS CASE THAT HAPPENED. If all of you have watched the news or even have a fb account you would have known that there is this case in China that a 2 year old female toddler, getting run down by two lorries and she could have been saved or at least have a higher chance of survival if only people have responded to her. BUT NO! 

18 PEOPLE WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T HAVE A HEART IN THEM WALKED PASSED HER!! 18!!!!

In the end, this rag-and-bone lady, dragged her off the road into a save corner so that she would not be further run down by anymore vehicle. But still somemore heartless people can even mention that this lady did it to be famous! What is wrong with society nowadays! Instead of showing sympathy to the little toddler, people start criticising acts of kindness! 

Btw, if you still are not sure what I am talking about. This is the video on the whole incident. It is really HEART WRENCHING! 

I am not sure if the toddler have passed her critical stage and reach a stable stage for her injury. But i pray hard that she is currently doing fine! Though this incident did not happen in the country I am living in, but this doesn't mean that people in our country are behaving morally right. This incident clearly shows how the society have changed, and it has changed for the worst and not the better. This incident just brings us closer to see how scary this society have become to. It is not about what country they are born in that those 18 people behave this way, cause I do not want to stereotype here. In fact, it is the moral sense in them. 

If only people would drop the thinking as such : "Someone will call the ambulance, but the person is not me" or " Someone will save her, but not me, I have no time for it". IF only people would think a different way : "Have anyone called for a ambulance? I should call. " or "What happen to her? I should help her." I believe things would have turned another way. Did you realise the fact that the usual thinking that we have is so self-centered, the subject is on us but for the other case the subject is the victim. So if only people would start thinking for others and themselves the society would be a much better place to live in. 

And the news reported that in the end, the first driver that ran her down when to turn in the police on his own accord. But does it even help? If you were to turn in to the police, why didn't he came down from the vehicle to check out on the little girl and bring her to the hospital to save her instead of driving over her to cause more serious injury. This only goes to show that this person, at the very point only thought of his very own interest! IF he could have thought about the little girl nothing of sort would have happened. 

I suddenly remember watching this movie on a kid that was working on his social studies project, and the project given was to change the world. What he came out with was called " Paying it forward".

This campaign he came out with was an example that goes to show of putting a thought to others as well as yourself. This campaign works by doing a good deed to someone and in exchange for getting any repayment for the person who received the deed, this person is suppose to do an act of kindness to 3 other person and this goes on and the cycle repeats itself in the society.

Though the ending of the movie was that the kid sacrificed his life to help a friend being bullied but it shows that compassion still exist even from a heart of a young life. If the society works this way, it will be filled with more compassion coming from everyone. Animal cruelty, child abusing and acts of morally wrong would have not occur. 

Let's all hope that society changes for the better and not the worst! By doing our little part, to make the society more BEAUTIFUL! 

SHOPPING @ THERE? ARE YOU JK?

I went with my MUMMY to shop at a place near paya lebar. A place whereby us girls will usually nt go thr to shop for our stuffs. Because he places that we usually go are like ORCHARD, BUGIS or at most special places like HAJI LANE?! You have never thought you will get any gd stuffs thr or find anything thr ever.

OKAY BUT YOU ARE SO WRONG!!!! THR WERE SO MUCH AWESOME STUFFS TAT AFT THAT SHOPPING TRIP I WAS A HAPPY GIRL!
P.S. Why I was so so so happy because some stuffs my mum paid for me!

THE PLACE THAT I AM TALKING ABOUT IS CALLED CITY PLAZA! IT IS A WHOLE SALER CENTRE! IT IS A FEW MINUTES WALK FROM PAYA LEBAR MRT!

FIRST STOP:
My mum was looking at some quite nice and fashion shoes! She was trying and asking for my opinion. Then, she asked whether I wanted one, I WAS VERY TEMPTED. But I told myself only if they had my size then I would consider! AND YEAH THEY HAD MY SIZE! SIZE 40!!! Okay it was really a good bargain, we bought 2 for $60!!!! My mum said she saw the exact same ones at some market place and they offerred her $55 per pair! Like ripping her off! So we were like buying two pairs for the price of one! =) Okay if those who are reading don't know, I am a overweight girl. Ya! So I thought that the shoes would only make my legs look fatter! But my mom said it look like better with the shoes so okay I not sure about that but it sure looks damn AWESOME!

They have it in black and beige too. My mum got the beige one! Oh btw you can haggard price at there to get really bargain offer! The starting quote price was $35 per pair but we got it to $30! And the heels are COMFORTABLE!

Okay SECOND STOP:

My purpose there that day was actually to get myself a blazer. Half casual half formal! I had to shop and shop and shop until I almost gave up! Cause it was difficult to get my size! GOODNESS. But okay I had some luck with me that day I managed to get some quite pretty blazer. It was offered $80!!!! I almost walked out! But thanks to my mum I bought it for $60. But the quality not bad lar.

I look smarter in the jacket right? I am definitely ready for work! Hahas. Sorry for the poor quality of picture. I apologise for that because nobody was there to help me take the pictures. That explain the poor pixel of the pic. Because i have to use zoom using iphone somemore.

THIRD STOP: BAG!!!!

Okay I was still short of a dear working bag for my attachment so I was sourcing for it after the whole long tiring day. I walked into this small shop with alot of variety of bag I immediately spotted the bag I wanted! OMG I was totally in love with it! But when I heard the price my heart sunk! So sad lar the offerred price was $89.90 if I did not remember wrongly! And I wasn't ready to pay so much for the bag! And thanks to my DEAREST MUM! HAHAS! I got the bag at a bargain price of $50. Oops but not suppose to mention where exactly the shop I got it from cause the lady say don't say some industry problem or so. But can tell that the lady who sold me the bag was really upset that she sold it to me at such a bargain price. But she was really nice! =) I was so happy that I got that bag. The bag had 3 ways of carrying. 1. Like normal working bag hold it on the hang. 2. sling it at the side. 3. Sling it across. But I must tell you frankly the bag's quality is REALLY REALLY GOOD. And getting it at $50 is really a GOOD BARGAIN! So like I said you can haggard there and you really have to have the skill and correct tactic to bargain to get good offers. They are mostly wholesalers there so normally they will marked up the price when they first offer but there is DEFINITELY space for NEGOTIATION!

Okay I guess when I said above I look smarter you might not understand but look at the cardi I wore and the jacket. The result I look smarter in the jacket!
